Espresso Martini

TGIF! Last week while out for dinner at Nodo Hillcrest, I was looking for an after dinner drink to enjoy with my torta della nonna dessert. My waiter suggested I try an espresso martini to accompany my dessert choice. I felt like I was Melissa Gorga and Teresa Guidice as they always order an espresso martini while out on the town in Housewives of New Jersey. From the first sip, I was hooked. Instantly I knew I had to try and remake this martini at home. Shockingly, it was not as hard as I expected to create the same silky crema with the help of my Nespresso and some vigorous shaking. Unfortunately, being the eager beaver that I am, I did not have all the ingredients to make this martini exact. Ideally, I would have liked to make this drink with Cafe Patron, but instead I chose to add in a dash of Portuguese almond liquor. Regardless it came out just as good, especially with my little twist.
